Wreaths

Hi, this is Kaitlin! I recently made these two wreaths for my friend for her bridal shower present and she loved them. The first one was inspired by this post which has more detailed picture instructions. It is really quick and easy to make!
What you'll need:
- Eyelash yarn, green and blue/green (I found it at Joann's)
- Styrofoam wreath, any size
- Fabric and felt of your choice
- A few pins

I used two different colors (green and a blue/green combo) but would be fine with just one color, or even be cute with two other colors for a different season. Start by using a pinning down the end of the yarn. Continue by wrapping the yarn around the Styrofoam not too tightly around but close together. After a dozen or so times around I would use another pin to bring the "eyelashes" caught under the string up to make it looks as full as possible. Keep going until where you started, cut the yarn and pin the end with another pin.
The flowers are pretty simple. I bought some scrap fabric from Joann's. Here is a blog that shows you how to make the flowers. I did mine slightly differently and glued them to a piece of felt, but what ever works! Pin them to the wreath in any arrangement you want. To hang it, I used 3 strips of left over fabric, tied the ends together, braided them, and used two pins to pin it to the back.

I wish I took better pictures of it. It turned out really cute and everyone at her shower loved it!

Alright the second wreath here is a little more time consuming but turns out looking pretty. I got my inspiration from this and thought it'd be cute to use red, white, and green for Christmas!

What you'll need:
- 1/2 yard of felt of each color
-250+ pins
- Styrofoam wreath
-Tulle

Start by tracing circles (I used a sippy cup lid) approx 3 inches diameter onto each color of felt. Then cut  out all the little circles, its really nice to have a friend help you with this part! Fold the circle in half, and then half again. Stick a pin at the pointy tip and press it into the Styrofoam. Repeat this multiple times and place each piece fairly close together.

This is what it will begin to look like. It's  pretty easy, just time consuming. keep going until all the way around. Cut a strip of tulle, wrap it around, and tie it in a bow for the finishing touch!

And that's it! Easy, pretty, and cheap. Sorry, I'm new to this blogging thing and next time I will take more and better pictures as I make things. Hope you enjoyed this and will make one of them!
